Using Perception RSS for Prerecorded Promotional Broadcasts
Announcements can be programmed to occur automatically at intervals during certain times of day, or employees can trigger them with a button push.
For example, you could generate a message that said, “Fresh made sandwiches are available in the Deli Department.” This message could be pre-programmed to play during lunch time, or it could be generated by the Deli Department pushing a button. Messages can also be programmed to play during seasonal times of the year. For example, create an announcement that might say, “Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Come to the Floral Department to look at the unique Valentine’s arrangements now available.”
Many different holiday announcements could drive sales to the Floral Department, such as Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter, Fourth of July, etc. This might also be a good time to remind your customers to pick up a greeting card for the special occasion.
These types of messages can drive sales to various departments without employees having to remember to make an announcement at certain times during the day. It also allows corporate management to determine the exact message rather than letting an untrained employee make an informal announcement.
Prerecorded announcements can be helpful in various departments, such as Meat and Seafood, Deli, Bakery, Floral, or any other department you want to promote to current shoppers.
